Bon Iver
So this guy lives in a shed right? Maybe that's, like, an aspirational thing in Kansas but here it's nothing to be proud of. I mean, I was homeless once, and I'd sooner forget about it to be honest. Anyway, surely he's got enough money to move into a houseboat now? My friend tells me to wait for the psychedelic overtones. When they arrive they are so mild they make Wilco sound like Acid Mothers Temple. Subtle psychedelia. Now there's an oxymoron I'm not down with.
There is something undeniably pleasant about his sound but I guess I've missed the chance to catch him in the intimate venue, like The Luminaire (or my shed), that he needs.
