The Quietus , March 17th, 2009 11:29

Singer wants to destroy your love mementos in new video

If your heart’s recently felt the sharp steel of romantic rejection or you’re still pining over a long lost love, Catherine A.D. wants to help you.

The singer is collecting up unwanted souvenirs of dead relationships to destroy in her next video.

"As part of the video we will have some scenes of destruction where I will do my best to slay your demons and exorcise any possession of your choice that you are happy to part with and see destroyed on film,” she explains.

“Suggested objects might include: CDs, books, stuffed animals/toys, clothing – t-shirts, wedding dresses, photos, trinkets, vinyl records, video tapes/VHSs, giant valentine's cards/birthday cards, love letters, mixtapes etc etc...”

If you have anything you’d like to see – and more importantly, you’d like your ex to see – destroyed by a flame-haired singer-songwriter, items should be sent to this address by March 29th:

Anything that doesn’t get used will be sent to charity or recycled.

“I am here to help you get these things out of your life that you have been meaning to get rid of,” she continues. “Think of me as a cross between Derek Acorah, Kim & Aggie and Oprah..."
