Michael Jackson To Play O2 Arena

Residency to be announced this week

It's one of the most plastic venues in Christendom - so it seems only appropriate that slightly Lear-esque 'King' of Pop Michael Jackson is to host a residency at the London O2 Arena.

According to Sky News, Jackson has already signed an agreement with the venue's owners to play the gigs this summer. Details of the shows will apparently be announced on Thursday at the venue, possibly with Michael Jackson himself present.

Apparently the promoters are taking a cautious approach, announcing a limited run of dates at first, with more to follow if demand is high. Will it be bobbins? Couldn't you just get a manaquin, slap it with Dulux, and bung the greatest hits on in the comfort of your own home?
