David Byrne Confirmed For Big Chill 2009

Orbital, Spiritualized and Magistrates also added to bill

Former Talking Head and Eno collaborator David Byrne has today been announced as the Sunday night headliner for this years Big Chill Festival.

Byrne joins Friday headliners Basement Jaxx and Saturday closers Orbital at the bash, which takes place on August the 7th, 8th and 9th at Eastnor Park in Herefordshire.

Other acts set to appear include Spiritualized, Friendly Fires and Magistrates as well as comedians Russell Howard and Dylan Moran.

Act’s confirmed so far are: Alice Russell, Alphabeat DJ Set, Basement Jaxx, Boy Crisis, Calexico, Chinese Man, Dan Black, David Byrne, DJ Derek, DJ Sandrinho, Dub Syndicate, Favela Chic, Friendly Fires, Futurecop!, Gablé, Gong, Horse Meat Disco, Jstar And MC Honey Brown, John Hegley, Lamb, Ludovico Einaudi, Magistrates, Marina And The Diamonds, Moody Boyz, Mungo's Hi-Fi, Mr. Scruff, Norman Jay, Orbital, Optimo, Pharoah Sanders, Red Rack’em, Richie Phoe, Spiritualized, Sub Club, Subculture, Summer of Dub, The Gist, Toddla T feat MC Serocee, To Rococco Rot, Tom Middleton, Wonky Pop, Zombie Zombie.

Early Bird tickets are on sale at 2008 prices, but only until February 28th.
