You have to feel sorry for Roman Polanski: not only was his wife killed by the Manson family but then in 1978 he was charged with sexually assaulting a minor. But even being exiled in France and Poland couldn't stop him from winning the Oscar for Best Director with The Pianist, although naturally he wasn't there to accept it.
