Terrence Malick - The Thin Red Line

After the legendary Badlands which made stars of Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek, and 1978's Days of Heaven, Malick disappeared behind the scenes for 20 years later until The Thin Red Line. The New World, which we only had to wait 7 years for, has firmly cemented his comeback (so long as The Tree of Life doesn't take a decade to edit).
