In recognition of their ongoing quest to shatter the boundaries between art and sound, London trio Factory Floor are currently in residency at the ICA, curating four live events. The group endeavour to make each performance a completely unique and visceral affair. Last month they invited fans to an open rehearsal at the newly opened Tate Tanks. The gallery’s concrete stomach pulsated with the formidable combination of their austere and hypnotic sound and Dan Tombs’ mesmerizing visuals.
The first event at the ICA, which will take place this Saturday 15th September, is a live collaboration with New York composer and Love of Life Orchestra founder Peter Gordon. Peter Gordon’s long-time collaborator Kit Fitzgerald will provide the visuals. Also on the bill are DJs, Planningtorock, Frances Morgan (sometime Quietus scribe and deputy editor of The Wire) and Tim Burgess.
You can book tickets here. Further events will be announced in the coming months.
