Edinburgh’s Dan Willson, aka Withered Hand, member of King Creosote’s Fence Collective, is set to release a new EP entitled Inbetweens through his own label Brother&Dad on 24th September. We’re pleased to be able to offer you the premiere of the video for the title track, which you can watch above.
Inbetweens will be released on 10" with a download code (in a limited run of 500), was produced by Darren Hayman, and features guest backing vocals from Rozi Plain. The EP is the second set of songs to emerge from Willson’s recording sessions in London with Hayman, which took place late last year – the first three were collected on his contribution to Fence’s Chart Ruse EP series earlier this year.
Inbetweens will feature four songs – the title track, ‘Walls’ (a cover of a song by Enfant Bastard), a reworked version of ‘Oldsmobile Car’ and ‘Wonderful Lie’. In a recent interview with the Quietus, Willson described the latter as being about "love and not being able to match people’s expectations of you". To read the full interview, click here.
Willson is set to tour the UK in support of the EP later this month – the dates run as follows. The EP will initially be on sale at gigs on the tour, before going on general sale on September 24th.
