WATCH: New Rebekka Karijord

Premiere of video for new single Use My Body Whilst It’s Still Young

Norwegian singer-songwriter, Rebekka Karijord has released a video for her first single, ‘Use My Body Whilst It’s Still Young’, from her new album, We Become Ourselves, out this autumn on October 29 via Control Freak Kitten Records – have a watch of our premiere below:

The single, which comes out on September 24, explores haunting themes of ageing, over peppered percussion and unearthly organ chords. Karijord’s voice is simultaneously commanding and delicate, often emulating a more restrained, less theatrical Florence Welch. The song’s corresponding video, directed by Rebekka herself, sees a continuation of the song’s themes, and features 75 year-old ballet dancer Siv Ander dancing around in a sparse indoor corn field.
