LISTEN: Trail Of Dead – Up To Infinity

First taste of new album Lost Songs from Texan alt-rockers

…And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead are set to release a new album, Lost Songs, on October 22 via Superball Music/EMI.

It will be the Texan alternative rockers’ eighth full-length, following up last year’s Tao of the Dead, and here’s an early taster, album cut ‘Up to Infinity’:

Introducing the track, the band’s Conrad Keely says: "The music was inspired by the apathy to real world events that has plagued the independent music scene now for over a decade.

The first preview of our album, entitled ‘Up To Infinity’, is about the Syrian civil war. We believe that tyranny and despotism suffered by any people, anywhere, is intolerable and should not be treated as an internal matter, but completely justifies intervention by the international community.

"We would like to also dedicate this song to Pussy Riot."

While Keely and Jason Reece remain the band’s creative forces, they’ll be joined by Autry Fulbright and Jamie Miller who recorded and tour the previous album with the duo on a six-date tour of England and Scotland – here are the dates:

OCTOBER

Tue 9 – Arts Centre, Colchester

Wed 10 – Scala, London

Thu 11 – Academy, Manchester

Sat 13 – Liquid Rooms, Edinburgh

Sun 14 – Fibbers, York

Mon 15 – Arts Centre, Norwich
