As we’ve previously reported – read our in depth preview and interview with founder Artur Rojek here – Poland’s OFF Festival, which takes place this weekend 2nd-5th, August in Katowice, is one of the most varied in Europe.
This year’s line-up features a heady array of names, all the way from Quietus favourites like the mighty SWANS, Alva Noto & Blixa Bargeld, Group Doueh and DaM Funk, to knackered techno from Andy Stott and Container, and poppier fare from Metronomy, Thurston Moore and Death In Vegas.
This year, the Quietus were asked to curate a stage, and we reckon our line-up for the Experimental Stage on the Friday of the festival is among the weekend’s strongest, featuring Demdike Stare, Alva Noto & Blixa Bargeld, Josh T. Pearson, Shabazz Palaces, Colin Stetson, Container, Obscure Sphinx and Kirk.
We’ve been given a pair of tickets with camping to give away for the OFF Festival this weekend (NOTE: this does NOT include transport to the festival).
