Hit Factory Live Cancelled

More bad news for the UK's stricken festival calendar, as Pete Waterman's Hyde Park pop event cancelled due to weather

More bad news for UK outdoor gigs, after the closure of Bloc this weekend. Now Live Nation may find themselves with too many broken hearts on their hands, as they have been forced to cancel tomorrow’s Hit Factory Live Concert in Hyde Park. Due to adverse weather conditions organizers were unable to prepare the site in time for the Wednesday 11th July event, which should have included performances from a host of pop types, including Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Sinitta.

Other upcoming events in Hyde Park including BT London Live and Hard Rock Calling are still scheduled to take place.

John Probyn Live Nation’s COO said, "The moment the Wireless Festival ended, we put in place a massive plan to prepare the site for tomorrow. Eight thousand cubic metres of wood chip is currently being put in place and over the past 24hours crews have started to make the site safe for our customers. Despite best efforts time has beaten us, but I want to reassure that Hard Rock Calling concerts with Soundgarden, Bruce Springsteen and Paul Simon, plus Madonna on 17 July and the BT London Live Opening Ceremony Celebration concert and the events will go ahead."

Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster and See Tickets will be refunded automatically. Ticket holders with tickets purchased from other vendors have been advised to contact their point of purchase.

These are the upcoming events that will go ahead:

JULY

13th /14th/15th – Hard Rock Calling

17th – Madonna

27th – BT London Live – Opening Ceremony Concert

28th – 11th Aug – BT London Live

AUGUST

12th – BT London Live – Closing Ceremony Concert
