LISTEN: Dean Blunt – ‘Flaxen’

Listen to a new track apparently from The Narcissist III, the follow-up to Dean Blunt's free mixtape The Narcissist II

One half of the duo-sometimes-known-as-Hype Williams alongside Inga Copeland, Dean Blunt has also been releasing solo material as of late, with a disco-leaning 12" under the name Ramirez appearing recently alongside his mixtape The Narcissist II. Though his and Copeland’s excellent latest album Black Is Beautiful was only released a couple of months ago via Hyperdub, he’s continuing to be prolific as ever by the looks of things: the duo’s guru Denna Glass has just emailed us to point us in the direction of a new track titled ‘FLAXEN’. You can listen to it below. There’s no other information save a quick sentence – ‘from The Narcissist III’, which will apparently be Blunt’s new full-length – and a quiet, meditative, harp-driven piece quite unlike the cosmic dub sketches of more recently Hype Williams material.
