Gmaj7 is a scintillating two track long player from the Chicago based quintet featuring members of Pelican, X-Bax and Sacred Cities; and as an auxilliary member, drummer Pat Samson of cult noise rockers US Maple.
Moving away from the bombastic maximalism of post rock, the band are refining their gloriously hypnotic minimalism of lengthy one chord compositions.
The LP, which is out on Monday (June 4) was recorded with Greg Norman at Electrical Audio, is limited to 300, deluxe, screen printed copies on MIE records.
