Noel Gallagher says he has already written and demoed the next Oasis album – and wouldn’t mind listening to the new Guns N’ Roses record.
We’re not sure which is more newsworthy.
Gallagher told the Detroit News of the follow-up to this year’s Dig Out Your Soul: "It’s already done. It’s already written. It’s already demoed."
However the album may be put on hold as Noel ponders more selfish puruits.
He said: "I’m gonna take a bit of time off after this [the Dig Out Your Soul tour]. I think I might do something for myself, maybe."
The gimlet-eyed plagiarist also let slip his desire to settle down with a can of Dr Pepper and listen to Chinese Democracy, Axl Rose’s $13m million grand folie which was released to mixed responses in November.
"I’ve not heard it. I’ve read the reviews, and judging from the reviews I know I’m gonna fucking love it."
"I love preposterous records, and anything that took 17 years [to make] is obviously fucking ludicrous. I’m dying to hear it. I already know I’m going to like it."
