WATCH: Pulp On Jimmy Fallon

Band play 'Common People' on US telly show. Pulp live shot by Hayley Hatton

As you’ll probably well know, the charms of Pulp were largely lost on the Americans during their late 90s heyday, Jarvis Cocker’s camp antics and tales of seedy English life and class failing to translate to the other side of the pond. With their reformation, though, could this change? Pulp appeared on popular American evening telly show Jimmy Fallon, and played ‘Common People’ (above) and ‘Like A Friend’ (below). Violinist Russell Senior was not in attendance (he was also absent from the recent Royal Albert Hall Teenage Cancer Trust performance) but before you start speculating… it’s because he’s working on a musical about the miner’s strike.
