Last night, we were very pleased to receive a friendly email from Liars. "G’day there!," it read, proving you can take a man out of Australia but you can’t take etc., "hope you guys are well…
we finally finished our record and have a surplus of video clips on hand… thought maybe the Quietus would like this one." How could we refuse?
As previously reported on The Quietus, Liars have been documenting the recording of their new album with a series of videos of studio shots and oblique ephemera. The latest, which we are showing below, features a film projector duplicated, flashing lights and stroboscopic noise. Does all this add up to suggest that the next Liars album, due out in June, will be their most electronic record yet? Liars play on the main stage at Field Day on June 2nd.
