Ital & Stellar OM Source This Saturday

Noisy house jams take over London's Shacklewell Arms

This coming Saturday, 11th February, Ital and Stellar OM Source are playing live at London’s Shacklewell Arms.

We’ve spoken a fair amount recently about current artists who’ve been taking approaches from noise and synth music and applying them to dance music – these two are among the best examples. Stellar OM Source has recently shifted away from the more beatless, New Agey material of her earlier music into very melodic, acid flecked proto-techno jams. Live, they’re brought to life in even higher definition.

The same is also true of Ital, whose upcoming debut album Hive Mind is a beautiful, noisy take on the Underground Quality/Mathematics school of gritty deep house and disco. His performance at Berlin’s CTM last week was one of the best at the festival, a dense and very ravey experience that bodes well for this weekend’s show.

"It’s just these raw, distilled versions of the track," said Ital’s Daniel Martin McCormick in a recent interview with us. "I’ve just got this sampler, and quickly strip it down to the bare essentials."
