Former Chrome Hoof drummer and electronic dance music enthusiast, Milo Smee is launching his own label it was announced recently.
The label, called Power Vacuum, will be releasing heavy dance floor electronics and its first signing is called Bintus.
After sending us a couple of banging excerpts from the Corrosion Control EP, Milo explained: "Bintus is an ‘exotic food’ shop in Berlin, run by a family of Congolese descent. The word ‘bintus’ translates to ‘thing’. With permission, the name itself and a photo of the shop sign has been used to front a new musical project by myself.
"The proprietor of the shop agreed to vocalise versions of the word ‘Bintus’ for use in a live set."

Power Vacuum will release the first Bintus tracks on vinyl and digital. Milo says the philosophy of the label is to provide, "a bi-directional Autobahn with junctions 84 Electro, 88 Acid, 86-92 Techno and 12 Beyond Bass. However, unlike the glass-like asphalt surface of the Autobahn, these slip roads will be made of the most ruff and pitted bitumen available".
Milo is also set to release two albums with the folk from Oscillation under the name of Booze. The first of which is due in February and some live dates are due in March.
