Black Swan/Requiem For A Dream director Darren Aronofsky has directed a video for one of the highlights of Lou Reed and Metallica’s devastating Lulu, ‘The View’, in which, alongside Reed’s semi-conscious ramblings, James Hetfield takes on the role of inanimate furniture object. The best thing that can be said of the whole experience is that it mercifully reduces the album version’s 5:41 to a far more palatable 3:45. Thanks, Darren.
