Ether Festival: The Passion Of Joan Of Arc (With Portishead & Goldfrapp)

Film screening tomorrow (negatives were found in Norwegian mental institution decades ago)

This year’s Ether Festival is still in full swing and providing countless ways to fill your evenings. Tomorrow night (April 29), Carl Theodor Dreyer’s 1928 classic The Passion Of Joan Of Arc will be screening at The Southbank Centre, along with a live score performed by Portishead’s Adrian Utley and Goldfrapp’s Will Gregory. The negatives of the film were feared to have been destroyed in a fire, but were discovered in 1981 in the cupboard of a Norwegian mental institution – which is all the more reason to go and watch…
