After All Tomorrow’s Parties, End Of The Road and Supersonic, we’re starting to feel spoilt for choice for great festivals. But along comes another called Hokaben which runs between November 7 and 9 and features Don Caballero, Acid Mothers Temple, Fucked Up, Quietus writer Nick Talbot’s Gravenhurst, multi-instrumentalist synaesthesia from Team Brick, the awesome Trencher, the even more awesome Part Chimp and the last word in punk rock: Beestung Lips (pictured above).

The line up, which could only really be better if it featured Shit and Shine, The Revolting Cocks and Slayer centres round the celestial conspiracy jazz of Sun Ra’s Arkestra and is at 93 Feet East on Brick Lane, East London – directly over the road from The Quietus towers. Yipee!

Sun Ra’s Arkestra

Tickets are also very reasonably priced with weekend passes at £60 and day tickets at £23.50 and are available from www.SeeTickets.com and www.LastMinute.com.
