As we pointed out on Twitter yesterday, the Quietus doesn’t bother with any of the tips for the year that most publications use to fill the supposedly quiet month of January when the marketing departments of the major record labels set the agenda. We’re also not convinced that you should be worrying about whether or not the Vaccines and Brother are shit (of course they are) when you can sit back and listen to us continue to bang on about the brilliance of Factory Floor. Let it be noted that at last week’s ATP-curated New Year’s Eve bash the trio started their set with a new track that they’d written that very day. Anyway, to take you back into 2009 for a second we’ve got a brilliant new remix of their first release, ‘Lying’, retweaked for the dancefloor by FF drummer Gabriel Gurnsey.
