Angular Records: ARC060 – A Tale Of Buried Treasure

Pictoral & video evidence of unearthing

On a muggy day earlier this summer, the Quietus accompanied Angular Records’ Joe and Joe to a dusty park on South London. Our mission was to fill in one of the missing letters of the Angular Catalogue, which already – in Factory style – features their website, office, and various trig points, with a time capsule box of secret treasure from the record label and beyond. The burial site was based on an alignment between Arc 001 (a trig point) and two pillars, and LO! a hole was dug in the hard earth, the box buried, a snogging couple distracted, and the clues were uploaded onto the Angular site. Within days, Angular received an email notifying them that the box had been exhumed, and one lucky lady was blessed with the treasure contained within. This no doubt led to some disappointed hunters, as the video below attests. Look below that for a series of pictures documenting the event by the Minimal Wave label’s Veronica Vasicka.
