By the time you’ve bought your ticket, Argos tent, gallons of poor ale and travelled to the site, UK Festivals will set you back the kind of money that you could have run a small expedition into the white bit of the map at some point in the 19th Century. Praise be, then, for the Electric Elephant Festival in Croatia – you can get there, pay for your ticket, and start getting stuck into music from the likes of Fuck Buttons, Weatherall and Phantom Band, all for £200.
Alright, to do it you’ll be embarking on an epic bus journey of 36 hours, but these are tough times, tough times. Also on the bill at the Festival, which takes place in the rather pretty fishing village of Petrcane from August 27th to 29th. You can find out more about the festival and how to get there at the Festival website, wrap your ears around some Electric Elephant mixes at their Soundcloud, and book your epic bus trip here.
