MIA To Release ‘Paper Planes’

The girl who came from Greece with a thirst for knowledge is about to score her biggest hit to date after FINALLY agreeing to release ‘Paper Planes’ as a single.

MIA has finally caved in to common sense and suicidal threats from her bank manager and is releasing the ‘Straight To Hell’, gun metal, cash till sampling pop song on October 13.

All it took to persuade her was the track being downloaded a quarter of a million times in the US, it becoming a blog sensation, it being featured in the trailer for Pineapple Express, Il Papa mentioning it in a Papal address, radiowave patterns that suggest that it is being played on heavy rotation on a space station off the shoulder of Orion and endorsement by Barak Obama.

This means that it automatically becomes the most popular song to sample The Clash for pop music which will undoubtedly upset ageing punks since ‘Dub Be Good To Me’ by Beats International got jam nitty gritty with ‘Guns Of Brixton’. As a double whammy, it also easily outstrips Pink Floyd’s ‘Money’ as having the most ‘Oh, it really makes you think’ sample of a cash register moment.
