Flora Yin Wong has curated a collection of cover versions of love-themed songs for a new compilation, Venus Rising From The Sea.

Spanning 12 tracks, it marks the fifth release on Yin Wong’s record label and publishing house, Doyenne. Among the covers featured on the record are aya’s take on The Cure’s ‘Lovesong’; claire rousay reworking UB40 & Chrissie Hynde’s ‘Breakfast In Bed’; Teresa Winter reinterpreting Pentangle’s ‘No Love Is Sorrow’; and Yin Wong herself revamping Mariah Carey’s ‘The Roof (Back In Time)’.
