A Certain Ratio Line Up UK Tour Through Spring

The Manchester-based group will play 15 shows across April and May in support of new album 'It All Comes Down To This'

A Certain Ratio are set to tour the UK this spring.

Kicking off at Huddersfield’s The Parish on April 25, the tour will take them to several further venues across 15 shows into May. The Manchester-based group will play Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club, Summerhall in Edinburgh, Aberdeen’s The Tunnels, fabric in London, Sheffield’s Foundry and Exchange Bristol among other spaces during the run of shows.

The tour will be rounded off in the band’s home city of Manchester, at New Century, on May 17. They will be supported by another Mancunian, multi-instrumentalist Ellen Beth Abdi, at all of the dates. The full list of shows, alongside ticket links, can be found here.

The run of gigs comes in support of the group’s new album, It All Comes Down To This, which is set for release via Mute in April. The new record marks the first to feature just the core trio of Jez Kerr, Martin Moscrop and Donald Johnson. Bassist Viv Griffin will join them to present the album live.

Speaking about the forthcoming record, Kerr said in a statement: "It’s the Ratio removing the safety net. Every element of everything we’ve done on this album has been a change."

Johnson added: "It wasn’t a matter of rubbing everyone else out, it was, ‘Let’s find the thing that makes us work’. And we know that’s just the three of us being as basic as possible – no frills, no major overdubs. Just visceral and happening in the moment."

Mute will release It All Comes Down To This on April 19, 2024.
