Unsound has shared a third wave of acts playing its 2023 edition in October.
The Kraków festival will host the premiere of Ben Frost’s first new music since 2017, which will encompass a live collaboration with progressive metal guitarist Greg Kubacki of US band Carbomb, as well as video and light design from Tarik Barri. Elsewhere, Scottish producer Lanark Artefax will debut new music as part of an audiovisual live show, while cellist Okkyung Lee will play live in Poland for the first time with a show based around creative live scores for Dada films from the 1920s.
Further additions to the festival bill include Mun Sing, Bill Orcutt and a DJ set from Boredoms founder EYE. Gabber Modus Operandi’s Kasimyn will also debut his new project, Bunyi-Bunyi Tumbal, which aims to explore the trauma of Dutch colonisation through ritualistic dances and visuals by Singapore artist Brandon Tay.
They join the previously announced likes of Autechre, Lee Gamble, Blawan, Tirzah and Natural Wonder Beauty Concept on the lineup for this year’s festival.
Unsound will take place from October 1 to 8, 2023. Find more information here.
