Floating Points, Kamasi Washington And Bonobo To Score New Anime

'Lazarus' is a new commission from the Adult Swim network

Floating Points, Kamasi Washington and Bonobo have been called up to soundtrack a forthcoming anime series from Adult Swim.

Lazarus is a new Japanese animated series from Shinichirō Watanabe, which will take in 13 episodes. No official premiere date has yet been set for the show, and none of the soundtrack is yet available to listen to either. Wanatabe said in a press statement that he felt the programme would "serve as a culmination of my career so far."

Lazarus is set in an idyllic vision of the year 2052, which is shattered when a neuroscientist goes missing having developed a drug that is too good to be true. Upon his return, he shares the news that the drug has a half-life that will soon kill all of those who’ve taken it, prompting a group of five special agents to come together with the aim of saving humanity.
