James Holden Shares New Track, ‘In The End You’ll Know’

It's the third cut to be unveiled from forthcoming album 'Imagine This Is A High Dimensional Space Of All Possibilities'

James Holden has released a new single, titled ‘In The End You’ll Know’.

Out now, it’s the third track to be shared from forthcoming album Imagine This Is A High Dimensional Space Of All Possibilities, which is out later this month and marks Holden’s first solo studio full-length in over five years. The record sees Holden look back to the teenage years in which he explored rave music from a distance, unable to attend parties.

‘In The End You’ll Know’, which you can listen to above, has its roots in a recording that Holden made shortly before the death of his dog, Buster, in 2020. He’d put off listening to the recording for a long period after as it reminded him of that loss.

Speaking recently to tQ about how the track ultimately came to be finished, he said: "Eventually, once I had gotten over it, I guess, I was playing this recording in the studio. I reached over to the Prophet synth, switched it on, found a good sound almost immediately. I hit record without thinking about it, and the track became ‘In The End You’ll Know’."

Alongside the unveiling of ‘In The End You’ll Know’, Holden has also revealed a new wave of live dates, taking place through the summer. Spread across the UK and Europe, the run of shows will take him to festivals such as Green Man and Gottwood, while also taking in headline shows in Manchester and Brighton later this year. Border Community will release Imagine This Is A High Dimensional Space Of All Possibilities on March 31, 2023.
