Upsammy Details New Album, ‘Germ In A Population Of Buildings’

The 10-track record marks the Dutch artist's debut on PAN

upsammy has shared details of her second album, Germ In A Population Of Buildings.

Out in May, the 10-track album marks the Dutch artist’s first release with Berlin label PAN, following the 2020 release of debut full-length Zoom through Dekmantel. Melding field recordings and environmental sounds with leftfield rhythmic patterns, the new record is said to be "rooted in [upsammy’s] interest for ambiguous environments in constant shift, and the feeling of discovering strange patterns in different ecosystems," according to press materials. You can listen to lead cut ‘Being Is A Stone’, which opens the album, just below.

PAN will release Germ In A Population Of Buildings on May 2, 2023.
