Planet Mu label boss Mike Paradinas has a new album on the way under his μ-Ziq alias.
Spanning 15 tracks, 1977 marks Paradinas’ first release on Barcelona-based label Balmat, and sees him explore jungle, house and ambient music. "At times, 1977 feels like an experience of extended déjà vu: when we first listened to it, we had the sense that we already knew this music," said Albert Salinas and Philip Sherburne, who run Balmat. "It was as though we had heard it years ago, perhaps on a battered cassette tape lent to us by a friend, and been searching for it ever since. We hope you feel the same."
Balmat will release 1977 on April 7, 2023.
