The Hidden Cameras Reveal ‘The Smell Of Our Own’ Reissue

The deluxe reissue of the record will mark 20 years since its original release

The Hidden Cameras’ 2003 album The Smell Of Our Own is being reissued to mark its 20th anniversary.

Set to be made available digitally and in a deluxe 2xLP edition, the reissue will include the full original album, as well as bonus demos and live session recordings. You can watch a TV performance by the band from 2003, which saw them debut the album cut ‘Ban Marriage’, above.

The Smell Of Our Own marked The Hidden Cameras’ debut on Rough Trade, having released their debut LP, Ecce Homo, a year earlier. Two further albums with the label followed, in the form of 2004’s Mississauga Goddam and 2006’s Awoo.

Rough Trade will release The Smell Of Our Own (20th Anniversary Edition) on April 14, 2023.
