Chris & Cosey have launched a new limited edition vinyl reissue series, which will see a number of their classic works pressed to vinyl for the first time, or brought back into rotation for the first time in decades.
The series will kick off in March with the reissue of Elemental 7 on green vinyl, Muzik Fantastique! on pink vinyl and Feral Vapours Of The Silver Ether on yellow vinyl. The new press of Elemental 7 will mark the first time the album has been made available on vinyl in almost four decades, while the other two are getting their first ever issue on vinyl. All of the records have been newly remastered and will include an inner sleeve of archival photos. Further reissues are also set to be announced in the future.
Originally released in 1984 under the collective name CTI, Elemental 7 formed the soundtrack to the film of the same name and received its first pressing via Cabaret Voltaire’s Doublevision imprint. Muzik Fantastique! was first released in 1992 and had only been available on CD until now, while Feral Vapours Of The Silver Ether, originally from 2007, was the second record by the duo under their Carter Tutti guise, and had also only been released on CD to date. You can watch a video for Elemental 7 cut ‘Dancing Ghosts’ above.
CTI will release Elemental 7, Muzik Fantastique! and Feral Vapours Of The Silver Ether on March 24, 2023.
