Blur Announce First Gig In More Than Seven Years

The Wembley Stadium show next summer will be their only UK appearance of 2023

Blur are reconvening for a live gig at London’s Wembley Stadium next summer.

Scheduled to take place on July 8, the show will mark the band’s first full gig together in almost eight years having last toured through 2015. It will be their only UK live show of the year, and is currently their only announced gig of 2023. Support at the Wembley date will come from Jockstrap, Self Esteem and slowthai.

In a statement announcing the show, frontman Damon Albarn said: "We really love playing these songs and thought it’s about time we did it again."

The band’s Graham Coxon added: "I’m really looking forward to playing with my Blur brothers again and revisiting all those great songs. Blur live shows are always amazing for me. A nice guitar and an amp turned right up and loads of smiling faces."

Tickets for the London gig will go on general sale this Friday (November 18) at 10am GMT. Head here for more information.
