Rian Treanor And Ocen James Team Up On New Album, ‘Saccades’

The record is the product of Treanor's 2018 visit to Kampala for a residency at Nyege Nyege's villa studio

Rian Treanor has collaborated with acholi fiddle player Ocen James for a new album coming out through Nyege Nyege Tapes.

Spanning 10 tracks, Saccades is the product of Treanor’s 2018 trip to Kampala in Uganda for a residency at Nyege Nyege’s villa studio. Their collaboration is heavily built around improvisation, and also inspired Treanor’s 2020 Planet Mu-released album File Under UK Metaplasm. Nyege Nyege Tapes will release Saccades on January 20, 2023.
