The new album from German metal kings Rammstein will no longer be publicly displayed in shops in their native country.
The German Office for the Examination of Media Harmful to Young People has ruled that Liebe ist für alle da, the band’s sixth album, is harmful to young people due to its provocative cover art, song titles and lyrics.
Rammstein have a long tradition of trying to wind up the sensitive of mind with provocative, yet ultimately a bit daft, artwork and lyrics. The cover of Liebe ist für alle da shows the band stood around a naked lady lying in repose and surrounded by fruits of the fields and woods, giving an erotic cannibal sort of vibe.
From November 11, the album will only be sold under the counter, and won’t be advertised or made accessible to people under the age of 18.
