Keiji Haino & SUMAC Detail New LP, ‘Into This Juvenile Apocalypse…’

It's the first full-length meeting between the two acts since 2019's 'Even For Just The Briefest Moment Keep Charging This "Expiation" / Plug In To Make It Slightly Better'

Keiji Haino and SUMAC have teamed up for a new collaborative album, Into This Juvenile Apocalypse Our Golden Blood to Pour Let Us Never.

Spanning six extended pieces, the album was recorded in May 2019, at the Astoria Hotel in Vancouver, when Haino and SUMAC came together for a one-off performance during the former’s North American tour. "No prior discussions or planning involving the direction of the music" took place before the show, according to press materials. The new album is the third joint full-length release between the two acts to date, following 2018’s American Dollar Bill – Keep Facing Sideways, You’re Too Hideous To Look At Face On and 2019’s Even For Just The Briefest Moment Keep Charging This "Expiation" / Plug In To Make It Slightly Better.

Thrill Jockey will release Into This Juvenile Apocalypse Our Golden Blood to Pour Let Us Never on October 7, 2022.
