Dan Snaith Details New Album As Daphni, ‘Cherry’

The Canadian artist's third full-length under the club-focused alias is out in October

Dan Snaith is lining up a new album for release under his Daphni moniker.

Spanning 14 tracks, Cherry is Snaith’s first full-length as Daphni since 2017’s Joli Mai and follow 2020’s Suddenly LP, released under his primary Caribou alias. The album includes the previously released title cut, as well as a newly shared track called ‘Cloudy’, of which Snaith said: "For something so buoyant, I’m surprised how much it bangs in a club. You can listen to it above.

Cherry was recorded over a prolonged period of time. "There isn’t anything obvious that unifies it or makes it hang together" Snaith said in a statement about the record. "I think it was good that it was made without worrying about any of that. I just made it."

Jialong will release Cherry on October 7, 2022.
