Moor Mother To Release New Album, ‘Jazz Codes’

The collaboration-heavy record follows on from last year's 'Black Encyclopedia Of The Air'

Moor Mother has revealed details of her next album, Jazz Codes.

The follow-up to Black Encyclopedia Of The Air, which was released in September 2021, Jazz Codes takes in 21 tracks and an extensive cast of collaborators that includes Mary Lattimore, Nicole Mitchell, Melanie Charles, Wolf Weston, YUNGMORPHEUS and the jazz ensemble which Moor Mother is a member of, Irreversible Entanglements. Jazz Codes takes its name from a book of poems written in honour of jazz and blues icons like Woody Shaw, Amina Claudine Myers and Mary Lou Williams. The record is said to use poetry and free jazz as its starting point.

ANTI- will release Jazz Codes on July 1, 2022.
