Sacred Bones Unveils Two Unreleased Alan Vega Tracks

'Invasion' and 'Murder One' will be released together next month

Two previously unreleased tracks from the archives of the late Suicide frontman Alan Vega will be released together by Sacred Bones next month.

‘Invasion’ and ‘Murder One’ will be collected together on a 12-inch release, while both tracks will also be made available on digital formats. ‘Murder One’, recorded sometime between 1997 and 1998, was originally set to feature on Vega’s 2007 album Station, but was ultimately never used. ‘Invasion’, on the other hand, is believed to be one of the musician’s last recordings. It was intended for the album It, which was released a year after Vega’s death in 2016, but wasn’t included in the end. Preview the tracks via the visual above.

Both tracks have been mixed for release by Vega’s close collaborator Jared Artaud and his wife, Liz Lamere. They follow on from the release last year of ‘lost album’ Mutator, which collected tracks produced between 1995 and 1996 from Vega’s extensive archives of recorded material.

Sacred Bones will release Invasion / Murder One on February 25, 2022.
