Warmduscher Detail New Album, ‘At The Hotspot’

The band's Clams Baker describes new cut 'Fatso' as "a song dedicated to taking the time to slow down and sniff the roses"

Warmduscher have a new album on the way.

Titled At The Hotspot, it’s the band’s first full-length effort for Bella Union, and fourth album overall. The band worked on it over the course of more than a year during lockdown, alongside producer Joe Goddard and Al Doyle of Hot Chip. Above, you can listen to new track ‘Fatso’, which the band’s Clams Baker has described in a statement as "a song dedicated to taking the time to slow down and sniff the roses, turn off the computer and take in the sunshine, and embrace the battle of a sleepless day at the office from a night of beautiful carnage that you’ll always dream about."

Speaking about the process of working on the album, Baker added: "We were just happy to be doing something and seeing each other. It was that weird energy, where you’re fed up and you’re kind of angry, but in a good way. We would spend like two nights a week writing, maybe once or twice a month, sometimes less."

Bella Union will release At The Hotspot on April 1, 2022.
