Huerco S. Unveils First Album In Six Years, ‘Plonk’

It follows 2016's ambient-focused 'For Those Of You Who Have Never (And Also Those Who Have)'

US producer Huerco S., real name Brian Leeds, has shared details of his first album in six years under the moniker.

Out in February, Plonk marks Leeds’ debut on Anthony Naples and Jenny Slattery’s Incienso label, having put out his previous album For Those Of You Who Have Never (And Also Those Who Have) on Naples’ now defunct Proibito label in 2016. In the years since that album’s release, Leeds has released two albums under the Pendant alias via his own West Mineral Ltd. imprint.

Plonk is said to be inspired by Leeds’ childhood love of cars, particularly rally cars, with each of its 10 tracks aiming to represent a different aspect of their mechanics. Above, you can watch a visual for lead track ‘Plonk IV’.

Incienso will release Plonk on February 25, 2022.
