VÄLVĒ Detail Debut Album, ‘Geography’

Chlöe Herington's sound art project will release its first album via The state51 Conspiracy in December

VÄLVĒ are set to release their debut album, Geography, next month.

Featuring seven tracks, the album will be released through The state51 Conspiracy. VÄLVĒ is the experimental sound art project initially formed as a solo project by former Chrome Hoof member Chlöe Herrington, and later expanded to include Elen Evans on harp and Herrington’s former Chrome Hoof bandmate Emma Sullivan on bass, microkorg and vocals.

The physical version of the album will be the inaugural release in The state51 Conspiracy’s 51 Editions lathe series. Each record will be cut by Bladud Flies! and hand packaged in The state51 Atelier, while the 51st edition will be presented in a specially hand made box. You can watch a video for ‘Retrace/Repeat’, the album’s opening track, above, and find more information about the release here. You can also watch a video for another cut from the album, ‘A Hornet’s Pillow’, here.

The state51 Conspiracy will release Geography on December 3, 2021.
