Moritz Von Oswald Trio Reconvene With New Album, ‘Dissent’

Von Oswald has been newly joined by Laurel Halo and Heinrich Köbberling for the new record

Moritz von Oswald has reconvened the Moritz von Oswald Trio, this time with Laurel Halo and Heinrich Köbberling joining the fold.

The trio will release new album Dissent, which is the first credited to the group since 2015, this August. It was recorded in Berlin in November and December 2020, and subsequently edited down from a series of extended jams. You can listen to ‘Chapter 4’ from the album above.

Previous Moritz von Oswald Trio records have seen von Oswald combine with the likes of Tony Allen, Carl Craig, Ricardo Villalobos and Vladislav Delay.

Modern Recordings will release Dissent on August 6, 2021.
