Overmono To Release ‘Fabric Presents’ Compilation

It includes a new track by the duo, as well as music by Blawan, Surgeon and Actress

Overmono, the duo of Tessela and Truss, are releasing a new mix compilation as part of the fabric presents series.

Totalling 29 tracks, Overmono’s mix includes four of their own productions, including their remix of For Those I Love’s ‘I Have A Love’ and a new track called ‘If U Ever’, which you can listen to below. Elsewhere, the mix encompasses techno, UK garage, jungle, hardcore and other forms of electronic music, with tracks from Blawan, Actress, Surgeon & James Ruskin, Anz, L.B. Dub Corp, and Ed Rush & Optical, among others.

Speaking about their mix, Overmono say: "We’d just stepped out to get a curry from a takeaway called Bombay To Bromley which is nearby our studio when we got an email asking us to do a mix for fabric. There was something about the vibe that evening that’s quite typical of south east London on a cold winter’s night. Overheard conversations and disagreements. Night buses with steamed up windows. Sirens in the distance. A bit tense but exciting at the same time. You know there’s always something going on somewhere out there. There’s a lot of energy in the air. This mix is all about trying to capture that feeling, a nod to music scenes past and present."

The mix will be released as a CD and digital download in July, with a 2xLP vinyl release featuring a number of individual tracks from the compilation due to follow in September. Find full details on each format here. A release party will take place at London’s fabric on July 17, with Overmono booked to DJ alongside Blawan, Joy Orbison, LCY and more.

Overmono’s fabric presents follows on from an EP by the duo, Pieces Of 8 / Echo Rush, which came out on XL last month.

fabric will release fabric presents Overmono on July 16, 2021.
