From next month, live music venues and clubs in the US will finally be able to apply for financial aid to help fund overheads while many of them remain closed.
The Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) is a $16 billion fund which will be allocated to live music venues, clubs, museums, cinemas and other cultural spaces that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The SVOG will officially accept applications from April 8, and will be allocated by the Small Business Administration. Applications for a grant can be made via the organisation’s through website.
