Sonos has announced new radio shows from Björk, FKA twigs, D’Angelo and The Chemical Brothers.
Each artist will curate their own station on Sonos’ premium radio platform for a day each in the coming months, picking out music to play as well as offering their own commentary alongside their selections. A number of artists currently streaming on Sonos Radio – including Thom Yorke, Dolly Parton and Brittany Howard – will also soon debut new shows.
D’Angelo’s show, Feverish Fantazmagoria, premiered yesterday (January 13), while FKA twigs’ main squeeze is set for February 10, Björk’s 21 years worth of wave files liquidated debuts on February 24, and The Chemical Brothers’ Radio Chemical follows on March 2.
"This is a curation of sorts – a collection of musical expressions that I call Feverish Fantazmagoria," D’Angelo said of his contribution. "It includes some crate digging; a lot of psych rock and funk rock in there, even some gospel and soul. Just a lot of incredible music that’s fun and inspires me."
