Arab Strap To Release New Album, ‘As Days Get Dark’

"It's about hopelessness and darkness," says Aidan Moffat

Arab Strap have shared details of their first studio album since 2005, titled As Days Get Dark.

Set for release in March, the duo’s Aidan Moffat says that the album’s aim is not to "recapture the ’90s," adding: "It’s definitely Arab Strap, but an older and wiser one, and quite probably a better one." You can watch a video for lead track ‘Compersion Pt. 1’ above.

Speaking about returning to Arab Strap following a number of years in hiatus, Malcolm Middleton says: "We’ve had enough distance from our earlier work to reappraise and dissect the good and bad elements of what we did. Not many bands get to do this, so it’s great to split up."

Rock Action will release As Days Get Dark on March 5, 2021.
